Liverpool returned to the top of the Premier League with an entertaining 2-1 victory over Chelsea on Saturday. Mohamed Salah put Liverpool ahead from the spot after 29 minutes and the home side were awarded another penalty just minutes later when Robert Sanchez brought down Curtis Jones. The penalty was overturned after a video review, however, with Chelsea then equalizing after the half-time break, with Nicolas Jackson racing clear to beat Caoimhin Kelleher. Liverpool took only three minutes to restore their lead, however, with the outstanding Jones converting at the far post. The win continues Arne Slot’s sensational start at Anfield, with the Dutchman becoming the first manager in Liverpool’s history to win 10 of his opening 11 games.
